Faculty of Electrical and Electronic Engineering

Being one of the first faculties of NTU, the Faculty of Electrical & Electronic Engineering currently has more than 20 staff members including 4 doctors, and 15 masters. Most of them were trained abroad in countries such as Russia, Poland, South Korea, Japan and Taiwan. In addition,  many retired staffs who are still living in Nha Trang have highly regarded academic titles and degrees in the field of Electrical  - Electronic Engineering and continue to actively participate and support the Faculty in training and scientific research  activities.

The Faculty operates fourteen laboratories:  Electrical Engineering; Analog Electronic; Electric Installation; PLC; Power System; Digital Electronic; Microprocessor Microcontroller; Audio-Video Engineering; Power Electronics;  Power Drive; Marine Electronics; Applied Electronics;  Automation and Sensors; General Physics. Recently, the faculty has been equipped Electrical and Electronic factories. Currently, the Faculty has approximately 700 students in different associate degree and bachelor degree programs.  Graduate engineers from our Faculty have successfully functioned in the society. Many generations of engineers are playing important roles in companies and offices.

The Faculty has three Departments:  Electronics – Automation, Industrial Electricity, and Physics.

Infomation

The Electrical and Electronics Technology training program is designed to successfully train learners to become Electrical and Electronics Engineers. The program helps learners effectively acquire knowledge and career skills so that they can confidently operate in fields of industrial electricity, electronics and automation after graduation. The program also trains the ability of independent thinking as well as effective teamwork; practice and creative skills and practical ways of solving problems.

Research interest:

Our highly qualified lecturers have conducted many research projects on applied electronic, nano-electronics, marine electronics, electrical systems, electrical engineering, teaching methods, and educational management with results having been published in international and domestic scientific journals. The Faculty is moving toward a new energy systems (solar, wind), automation (microprocessor, PLC), the quality of power supply, and specific fields of electrical equipping, marine electronics for fishing boats.  Moreover, the Faculty is also focusing on developping and applicating AI algorithms in the area of electrical and electronic engineering.
