9 December, 2015: the MoU signing ceremony between Nha Trang University (NTU) and Kien Giang University (KGU) was held solemnly at Nha Trang University. For NTU’s side, there were Assoc. Prof. Trang Si Trung – Rector and the leaders of some departments. For KGU’s side, there were Assoc. Prof. Thai Thanh Luom – Rector and other delegates from KGU.
At the meeting, the two parties discussed orientations for promoting bilateral relations and agreed to sign the cooperation agreement in training, scientific research, technology transfer and other related areas with significant targets on scientific research and training cooperation, particularly on postgraduate education.
Kien Giang University was founded in 2014 on the basis of Nha Trang University’s division in Kien Giang. The university is in the process of building and completing the organizational structure, staff, faculties and facilities, etc. Therefore, the expansion of comprehensive cooperation between the two universities is the opportunity for mutual support and experience exchange, promotes the development of each university.
