Nha Trang University participated in a Quality Assurance Training Course in Digital Education.

From November 25th to 28th, 2024, the delegates from Nha Trang University participated in a training course on "Quality Assurance Training Course in Digital Education" at the University of Economics and Law, Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City. The program was a part of the project "Digital Immersion of Vietnamese Higher Education" (DIVE). The delegates included Dr. Tran Doan Hung - Vice-Rector of the university, along with the leaders of the Department of International Cooperation, Department of Academic Affairs, and other members.

Digital education is becoming a global trend, intending to expand higher education opportunities for all members of society. In addition to focusing on preparing the technological infrastructure and human resources, quality assurance is considered the most important factor in materializing the success of digital education.

Following the success of the 2 training courses held in June and October 2024, this program attracted more than 30 officials from 14 member universities with the guidance of experts from France, Spain, and Belgium.

The course focused on core topics such as Accreditation and Quality Assurance of the European Higher Education Area (EHEA), Quality Assurance in Digital education, in-person training/ remote training- experiences from European universities; Standards and quality indicators of digital education in aspects such as Strategic Management, Program Design, Course Design, Course Delivery, Support for staff and students.

Through group activities and direct interactions with the experts, the delegates from universities assessed the current state of digital education at their institutions. Additionally, the members shared, discussed, and researched the application of appropriate processes and knowledge to promote the development of digital education in Vietnam in general and Nha Trang University in particular. Upon completion of the course, all participants received certificates, acknowledging their efforts and commitment to improve the quality of digital education.

The training course is not only an opportunity to learn but also a foundation for universities in Vietnam to innovate and comprehensively digitalize education, meeting the development requirements of the era.

DIVE is a project funded by the European Union through the Erasmus+ program to support universities in Vietnam in developing high-quality digital education, as part of the process of modernizing higher education, implemented over three years (2024-2027).

The project involves the participation of 11 universities from Vietnam, including Centre Franco-Vietnamien de formation à la Gestion (CFVG), the University of Technical Education – Da Nang University, the National Economics University; Can Tho University; Vinh University of Industry; Nha Trang University; Thai Nguyen University; University of Economics and Law in Ho Chi Minh City, Open University in Ho Chi Minh City, University of Agriculture and Forestry – Hue University, Tay Nguyen University, and 3 European universities: ULB University – Belgium, University of Alicante, and UNED – Spain.
