Nha Trang University participated in the Training of Trainers 3 of ECOViP “Fostering Innovation and Entrepreneurship in Ecotourism to support sustainable development in Vietnam and the Philippines" in Can Tho.

From April 9, 2024, to April 12, 2024, the ECOViP project, co-funded by the Erasmus+ program, organized the third Training of Trainers (ToT3) at Can Tho University. The training involved 6 universities from Vietnam and the Philippines, along with tourism management agencies from both countries.

The lecturers from the Faculty of Tourism, Center for Career Support and Start-up, and the Faculty of Economics of Nha Trang University, together with lecturers from other universities and partner organizations, were trained in methods of implementing entrepreneurial curricula, designing entrepreneurship courses in tourism, and incorporating the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nations into the curriculum through innovative teaching methods. Additionally, the training session provided an opportunity for the participating universities to learn from experiences, visit ecotourism sites in Can Tho, and discuss issues related to livelihoods, sustainable tourism development linked to preserving local identity, and conserving cultural and environmental values.

Furthermore, the ECOViP project proceeded with a Management Board meeting to review activities, outline plans, and set directions for implementing work packages in the future. Upcoming activities include workshops discussing the entrepreneurship training program framework, the ECOViP Entrepreneurship Competition, and the ECOViP BootCamp in the summer, which promise to deliver significant results and have a profound impact, aiming to develop entrepreneurial and innovation capacities for sustainable development in tourism in Vietnam and the Philippines.
