In 2020, the Ministry of Education and Training rewarded 34 affiliated universities with a total of 3,627 articles published in prestigious international scientific journals belonging to list of ISI, SCI, and SCIE. The reward level depends on the high impact of each journal from VND 2 million per each article. In 2020, Nha Trang University had total of 83 international articles published in prestigious scientific journals. In which 66 were rewarded by the Ministry of Education and Training with total value up to more than VND 210 million.

In recent years, Nha Trang University has been continuously rewarded by the Ministry of Education and Training for its qualified numerous international scientific publications. Specifically, in 2017, 2018, 2019, the University had 44, 41 and 50 international articles awarded by the MOET, respectively. This again confirms the continuous development in scientific research of Nha Trang University.

Scientific publication demonstrates scientific capacity as well as scientific research productivity of individuals and research organizations, is one of the bases for evaluating research effectiveness of scientists, university ranking. Scientific publication is used to evaluate the scientific research performance of government agencies. International scientific publication results are currently being interested and focused in Vietnam in the context of international integration.
