The English Talk Community Development Project in Khanh Hoa province was introduced at the ceremony. This is a project for the community founded and implemented by all lecturers and students of the Faculty of Foreign Languages ​​- Nha Trang University. The project aims at supporting those who have difficulty in accessing English language, diversifying - equalizing the study and future development opportunities between rich and poor people, developing an online education platform in the 4.0 era. Beneficiaries of the project are children in the orphanages; poor students in particular and students at high schools in general; people from different sectors have difficulty in accessing English language. The main activities of the project are to provide an online library of Anglo-American literature/culture and profound humanities lessons for children; organize the contest "English Olympiad for high school students"; conduct English classes for orphans through audio books.

The board of organizers officially opened the contest "English Olympiad for high school students in Khanh Hoa province 2022" - one of the main activities of the English Talk Community Development Project in Khanh Hoa province. The contest is organized to create a healthy playground for high school students in Khanh Hoa province to improve their English ability, encourage the English learning in the era of international integration, and develop a strong English talk community in the province. Contestants are high school students with Vietnamese nationality who are studying at high schools in Khanh Hoa province. With 28 participating teams, this contest will take place with three rounds including: Preliminary (Each school selects one team consisting of five students and one mentor teacher (one team/school), the team will make a video introducing themselves, their school and English learning method); Semi-final (eight teams with the highest scores in the Preliminary Round will design English learning activities (face-to-face/online) for children at orphanages/primary schools); Final (three teams with the highest scores in the Semi-final will perform three parts: Greeting; Acting in a play; Speaking). The contest is expected to take place from October 2021 to March 2022. It is sponsored by the US Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City, Long Sinh Co., Ltd., and Foreign Language Center - Nha Trang University.

The board of examiners of the contest includes representatives of the Khanh Hoa Department of Education and Training, English teachers, and sponsors. There will be one First Prize, one Second Prize, one Third Prize, and five Consolation Prizes with prizes of 5,000,000 VND, 4,000,000 VND, 3,000,000 VND and 1,000,000 VND respectively for the best teams. The board of examiners will award a prize of 500,000 VND to the team with the most favorite video in the Preliminary round and other prizes for audience in the Final round. Besides, candidates who won the first, second and third prizes also have the opportunity to receive scholarships from the Center for Foreign Languages ​​- Nha Trang University; at the same time, they will get priority to university admissions in English language - Nha Trang University, receive preferential dormitory fees, scholarships...
