Students of the Institute of Aquaculture, Nha Trang University, participating in the student exchange program in Thailand

Implementing a cooperation program between the Institute of Aquaculture - Nha Trang University - and the Faculty of Fisheries of Chiang Mai University - Thailand, the Institute of Aquaculture (Nha Trang University) sent 03 students from Class 63 to Chiang Mai University to conduct a short-term exchange program. During about 8 weeks (from March 4 to May 5, 2024), students will carry out the program "Practice in the Textbook of Breeding Production Techniques and Commercial Farming of Freshwater Fish" according to the detailed content in the course outline.

The cost of the program is partially supported by the partner (Chiang Mai University) and Nha Trang University for students, including dormitory, costs for learning activities, and internships at Chiang Mai University; Nha Trang University support visa costs and 50% of students' travel costs.

To participate in this student exchange program, 03 outstanding students of class 63.NTTS - 1 including Nguyen Huu Tri, Truong Thi Thuy Tram, and Nguyen Quoc Doan have met the conditions such as good academic results, well trained/excellent, and able to communicate in English. In addition, these students are also energetic and positive Class officers and union association officers who have achieved many achievements in union association work in recent times.

Chiang Mai University (Thailand) is a long-term partner of the Institute of Aquaculture (Nha Trang University). In recent years, the two sides have carried out many cooperation programs to exchange officials and students. Most recently, in mid-2023, the Institute of Aquaculture received 03 students from Chiang Mai University to intern at Nha Trang University. In addition, the two sides are discussing plans to cooperate in scientific research shortly.

Student exchange is one of the important contents of the international cooperation program of the Institute of Aquaculture in particular and Nha Trang University in general. In recent years, Nha Trang University and the Institute of Aquaculture have always valued and expanded cooperation with many schools and institutes both domestically and internationally. Currently, Nha Trang University has established relationships with about 100 international organizations, Universities and Institutes in many countries in the region and around the world, typically the United States, Canada, Norway, Australia, Japan, Korea, China, Taiwan, Thailand... With the promotion of international cooperation, including student reception and exchange, many students studying at Nha Trang University will have the opportunity to study and practice abroad. Through this program, students have the opportunity to get acquainted with the new environment and accumulate skills and work styles in a multicultural environment. Interning abroad is one of the best opportunities for students to live and work in a professional environment with experts. This experience will help you better understand the nature of the work of your chosen major and make wise decisions for your future journey.
