Training course on digital transformation within the framework of the DIGITAL-MOVE project

From January 22 to January 26, 2024, at Kosice Technical University, Slovakia, a training course on digital transformation of universities was held within the framework of the project " Connecting the digital gap between Mongolia and Vietnam through digital transformation in higher education institution", abbreviated as DIGITAL-MOVE.

          Dr. Khong Trung Thang - Chairman of the School Council and staff of Nha Trang University participated in the training course with content related to digital transformation approaches in terms of organizational culture, human resources and technology; model and framework for digital transformation in universities. Course participants also discussed and shared experiences in building each university's digital transformation action program.

         In addition, the delegation also participated in activities to visit facilities, the Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship; Working with the Board of Directors of Kosice Technical University.

Representatives of Vietnamese institutes participated in the training course with members of Kosice Technical University.

          The DIGITAL-MOVE project is a project within the European Community (EC) support program to strengthen the capacity of higher education institutions in developing countries. The project was built to achieve main goals such as: developing a culture of digital transformation in higher education institutions in Mongolia and Vietnam; promoting digital transformation culture; Developing digital soft skills for lecturers, students, specialists, and managers through courses and training courses...

          The DIGITAL-MOVE project has a total of 13 universities participating in the project, including 4 institutes and schools from Mongolia (University Institute - CITI University, Mongolian University of Life Sciences, Otoch Manramba University - Otoch Manramba University and Erdenet Institute of Technology) and 2 universities in Europe (Cote d'Azur University - Université Côte d'Azur, France and Kosice - Technical University, University of Kosice, Slovakia). On the Vietnamese side, there are 7 participating universities, including: Tay Nguyen University, Da Nang University, Nha Trang University, Hanoi Polytechnic University, Can Tho University, Quy Nhon University and Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics.

          The project will be implemented from February 2023 to February 2026, with a total budget: 783,570 EURO, of which the University of NT is the direct beneficiary: 58,016 EURO. The project aims to achieve the following main results:

  • 7 Vietnamese and 4 Mongolian universities have improved digital transformation capabilities.
  • 10 subjects on digital transformation for undergraduate students and 06 subjects for graduate students in the field of digital transformation have been updated and newly developed to be taught at higher education institutions.
  • 400 turns of students, 100 turns of lecturers, 100 turns of officials and 30 turns of management leaders were trained and trained on digital transformation at higher education institutions.
  • 2 national digital events were held in Vietnam and Mongolia.
  • 01 guidance document on promoting digital transformation, 01 document on teaching/learning methods in the digital environment at higher education institutions (handbook) and 01 policy report on digital transformation published in 2 languages: Vietnamese and Mongolian.
