36 students of Nha Trang University participating in the Virtual International Summer Program 2021
These students are from the faculties of Tourism, Foreign Languages and Food Technology. This is a program jointly organized by universities in Indonesia, Malaysia and New Zealand.
The Virtual International Summer Program 2021 has been organized from August 30 to September 17, 2021, with the theme "Marine Tourism and Coastal Vulnerability: Prediction, Assessment, and Adaptation", offering lectures and online field trips on marine tourism. This program is a collaboration organized by Universitas Padjadjaran (Unpad) Indonesia, Master Program in Tourism, Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI) Indonesia, Auckland University of Technology (AUT), New Zealand and University Malaysia Sabah (UMS) Malaysia. The program attracted 186 participants from 13 countries, including 46 participants from Vietnam.
With interesting activities, the Summer Program provides students with knowledge of Marine Tourism and Wildlife; Approaches to Sustainable Bio-economic and Socio-economic Modeling; Marine Conservation and Coastal Zone Management; Agricultural Tourism; Ecotourism; Impacts of Marine Tourism on Climate Change and Environment; Culinary Tourism from the Sea; Creative Business Management in the Marine Tourism Industry. In addition, some other related topics were also discussed and shared at the summer program such as: marine ecology; biotechnology; marine biodiversity conservation,… Due to the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, the actual field trips will be organized in the form of virtual trips to some places such as Biawak island, Pangandaran beach, Indonesia.
