The seminar was held at the Institute for Ship Research and Development with the attendance of scientists and researchers from the University of Technology and Nha Trang University. At the seminar, scientists presented research directions, and methodology for calculating the structure of 3-phase composite materials, composite sandwich, 3D and 4D composite,... used in ships, marine structures, and civil engineering projects. The 2 topics including research on new materials and structures for maritime economic growth as well as the mechanical characteristics and behavior of 3-phase composite materials were the focus of a report given by the representatives of the University of Engineering and Technology. Lecturers and researchers from Nha Trang University presented reports on the following subjects: research on selecting the type of cage construction for aquaculture at sea using composite materials; research on designing, and manufacturing high-speed passenger train Minh Chau 02; and research on the stability of Sandwich panels used in ship structure fabrication.

          The seminar provides an opportunity for lecturers and scientists to interact and exchange ideas, while also opening up new avenues for extensive cooperation in research, science and technology transfer, and training between the University of Technology and Nha Trang University.
