Working with representatives of the Fulbright Vietnam

On October 26, 2022, Nha Trang University had a meeting with representatives of the Fulbright Program in Vietnam, to discuss the support of their English Teaching Assistants who are currently working at the school.

Attending the meeting, on the side of the Fulbright Program in Vietnam, there were Ms. Vu Quynh Nga - Fulbright Program Director, US Embassy in Hanoi; Ms. Vu Thi Diu – Fulbright Program Assistant; Ms. Samantha Jane Lee – Fulbright English Teaching Assistant. On the side of Nha Trang University was Assoc's attendance. Prof. Dr. Pham Quoc Hung - Vice Rector of the University; representative of the International Cooperation Department and the Faculty of Foreign Languages.

At the meeting, representatives of the University and representatives of the Fulbright Program in Vietnam exchanged information on issues related to the work of Fulbright English Teaching Assistants currently working at Nha Trang University. Ms. Samantha Jane Lee was admitted to Nha Trang University in August 2022, under the Fulbright English Teaching Assistant program in the academic year 2022 - 2023. With a period of 9.5 months working in Vietnam, Ms. Samantha Jane Lee attended expected to work at Nha Trang University from August 2022 to May 2023; helping students and supporting teachers The school improves English proficiency through teaching and cultural exchange activities. The representative of the Fulbright Program in Vietnam thanked the University for receiving and creating many favorable conditions for the Fulbright Program Assistant in the past time; At the same time, we hope that the school will continue to support Ms. Samantha Jane Lee to complete her mission in the near future. The University representatives agreed with the proposals from the Fulbright Program in supporting the Program's Teaching Assistants to fulfill their duties; Especially, lecturers will be arranged to support Ms. Samantha in learning Vietnamese, quickly integrating into the working environment, and improving the efficiency of studying and working at the school.

Along with that, representatives of the University and representatives of the Fulbright Program in Vietnam discussed more the contents that the two sides can cooperate and support each other. Specific contents include exchange, connecting US students to study short-term or long-term at the university; coordinating in organizing cultural exchange programs; providing and connecting experts in specialized fields when the school needs…
