The 4th specialized club competition of the Faculty of Traffic Engineering - Nha Trang University
On May 19, 2023, the Faculty of Transportation Engineering - Nha Trang University organized the 4th "Specialization Club" Competition with the following contents: Shipping and Logistics Race, Ship Model Race, and Homemade Cars-Racing NTU. The contest has attracted the attention of many lecturers and students of the University.
Competitions within the Faculty of Traffic Engineering framework are organized to allow students to express their creativity, apply theory to practice, and share experiences and expertise with each other. This year, 14 teams are participating in the ship model race, with products designed by student groups, made from materials such as steel, aluminum, stainless steel, composite... The teams have to go through 4 Competition rounds, including design, speed racing, ship control, and ball control.
The Homemade Car Competition - Racing NTU attracted 10 teams to compete, with the contests including Driving forward in zigzag shape; Driving over obstacles; Fuel economy. In addition, the teams also participated in racing mini-car models. This contest is organized to create a playground for students of Automotive Engineering, apply theory to practice, and improve teamwork and solidarity.
The Shipping and Logistics Competition is an extracurricular activity aimed at creating a professional playground for students majoring in Maritime Science. The competition took place with 4 rounds including Warm-up (with topics related to Faculty of Transportation Engineering, Marine Science majoring in Maritime Management and Logistics Services), Acceleration (with topics related to general and basic knowledge of Logistics, quiz on Seaports), Reaching the finish line (with topics related to professional knowledge and job opportunities of students majoring in Maritime Science and Logistics Services) and Integration. The competition motivates students to have the opportunity to learn more about the important service segment in the development of the logistics industry, which is very interesting in the current job market.
The Faculty of Transportation Engineering (formerly the Faculty of Ship Engineering, separated from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering) was established in 2011, including 03 departments: Ship Engineering, Dynamic, and Automotive Engineering. The Faculty of Traffic Engineering researches and trains all levels in the fields of Ship Engineering (design, building, ship machinery, and equipment) and Automotive Engineering, training Master's and Doctoral degrees in Ship Engineering since 1990 and the Graduate School of Automotive and Tractor Engineering since 2010.
