Cooperating with Specialized Administration and Management Institute of La Francophonie (ESFAM), Bulgaria
On July 10, 2020, Nha Trang University signed a cooperation agreement with Specialized Administration and Management Institute of La Francophonie (ESFAM), Bulgaria regarding science technology, education and training. Due to Covid-19, the signing ceremony was held online.
At the signing ceremony, there were the participation of Mr. Nicolas Mainetti - President and some leader representatives of the ESFAM. From Nha Trang University side, there were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Trang Si Trung - Rector and leaders of related units.
According to the MoU, NTU and ESFAM will coordinate and carry out cooperation activities in training and scientific research: exchanging lecturers and students; improving capacity for lecturers, officers and managers. Specifically, the two sides are expected to jointly develop bachelor and master's programs at Faculty of Tourism, NTU and a master program in "Enterprise Management and Tourism Destinations" at ESFAM. Nha Trang University will also proceed to send lecturers and graduate students to ESFAM. They can study one semester or full time in ESFAM and will be considered for tuition waiver. Nha Trang University will vice versa accept students from ESFAM to study at NTU or take internship at businesses in Vietnam for three months. The two sides will also promote the implementation of scientific projects and international conferences.
The ESFAM (website: https://esfam.auf.org/) is an institute of the University Agency of la Francophonie Agence Universitaire de la Francophonie (AUF), established in Sofia (Bulgaria) in 1994. Since then ESFAM have trained 1800 graduates, now occupying responsible positions worldwide. Its mission is to train in French specialists at high management levels in the administrations of enterprises and to contribute to the development of the countries in the Central and Easter Europe region. In the initial training, they offer one-year courses, allowing the obtaining of master’s degrees from major French and Belgian universities. In their continuous education, learners can study modules, derived from these master’s degrees, and receive certificates. The network of alumni and partner enterprises provide graduates with options for the best possible professional development.
