The agreement signing ceremony held on 20 Dec 2019 opened opportunities to develop working experience in the practical environment for students whose major is the Hospitality Management.
At the signing ceremony, there was the participation of Mr. Philip Beriman, General Director of Intercontinental Hotel Nha Trang. From NTU’s side, there were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Chi Cong - In charge of Tourism Faculty, Dr. Nguyen Thi Ngan - Director of External Cooperation Department as well as some lecturers and staff members.
The cooperation program between Nha Trang University and InterContinental Nha Trang in training and vocational guidance for students will include main activities such as: job experience, job application preparation, experience consultancy, organizing vocational guidance programs for students. Accordingly, InterContinental Nha Trang will organize a minimum 45-day training and internship program for students of Nha Trang University. Students will be working as official hotel staff members and will be assigned different tasks to develop their skills and experience.
InterContinental Nha Trang will also offer the training program on "Job application writing skills" and "Interview tips for the interviewer" for students during their internships there. With the form of one teacher - one group, Intercontinental Nha Trang also commits to organize a program on experience consultancy for students to help them develop their leadership skills, confidence, study capacity, awareness of career opportunities, and broaden their understanding of different working and living styles and cultures.
In addition, both sides will continue to consider further cooperation such as organizing practicing programs for lecturers, facilitating lecturers to update the latest knowledge about the hospitality industry,sending speakers to give talks about interested topics, creating opportunities for students to deeply know about the practical work at the hotel.
