Its core mandate is to train highly qualified human resources in aquaculture at undergraduate and postgraduate levels and to conduct research and technology transfer supporting the sustainable development of the aquaculture sector. The Department offers training and research in Aquaculture (with three specializations: Aquaculture Technology, Aquatic Animal Health Management, and Aquaculture Management), Fish Pathology, and Aquatic Environment and Resources Management.
The Department of Aquaculture is recognized as one of the leading units in Vietnam for training aquaculture professionals, including bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degree holders.
