Opening Academic Year and Celebrating 54th Foundation Day
 
  The Opening of the Academic Year 2013-2014 and the cerebration of the 54th Foundation Day will be held on 2 October at NTU main campus in Nha Trang. The event will mark the official start of the new academic year at NTU. The event will also remind staff and students to remember the historical timeline of NTU.
 

  NTU was established in 1959 in Northern Vietnam as a faculty of Institute of Agriculture and Forestry. In 1976, it moved to Nha Trang and changed its name to University of Fisheries in 1981. In 2006, the University was renamed to Nha Trang University. After 54 years, NTU has 17 faculties, research institutions and 4 centers for applying research and services. NTU has become a multi-discipline institution and played a key role in training human resources for the South Central Area of Viet Nam.
