Over their 3 weeks in Nha Trang, the Korean students studied 3 subjects: Vietnamese Culture and Basic Vietnamese, Vietnam Fisheries, Economics and Tourism, and Tropical Marine Biodiversity and Aquaculture. In addition to learning theory in the classroom environment, the Korean students went on field trips at seafood processing companies, biodiversity and marine protected areas and tourist attractions in Nha Trang City, Da Lat City, and Ha Long Bay.
As an additional benefit, students also now have memorable experiences such as: enjoying dishes prepared by NTU teachers and students; or cooking Vietnamese dishes by themselves in a cooking class. In addition to cooking skills, the Korean students are now also able to communicate in Vietnamese at a basic level.
After the course, students and supervisors from The Pukyong National University appreciated the organization of the course. With this result we can hope to welcome many more Korean students to study and undertake research in Vietnam.
