June 29th, 2016, the MoU signing ceremony between Nha Trang University and Hai Tien Co.Ltd. was held with the participation of Assoc. Prof. Trang Si Trung –Rector of NTU and Mr. Hoang Van Tinh – Director of Hai Tien Co. Ltd and other representatives from both parties.
The agreement focuses on three main areas: training and technology transfer; employment; and scholarship granting. Particularly, in training and technology transfer, the university will send senior lecturers to conduct training courses and support technology applications in the company’s production activities (culturing cobia, fresh algae, red clam, etc). The company will ensure costs for any consultation services provided by the university.
Regarding recruitment, the company will accept student for internship and recruit them after graduation; the university will invite managers and technical staff of the company to give talks at seminars and training courses to provide students hands on knowledge and skills for career orientation.
In addition, the company agreed to grant 100 million VND for internships and scholarships to students for the period from March 2016 to March 2017.
Hai Tien Co., Ltd. is one of the large-scale and prestigious businesses in the field of aquaculture and tourism services. The signing of the agreement between the university and the company marks the beginning of a strategic cooperative relationship between the two, ultimately strengthening both parties.
