"Zero- Vietnam Dong market" to support students
A “zero- Vietnam Dong market” was organized by NTU Youth Union and Students Union in order to support students when they returned to school after Covid-19 break. This free market was sponsored by businesses as well as individuals and departments in the university.
This market offered many essential items such as rice, shrimp noodles, spices, household appliances, school supplies, facial masks, milk, bread, vegetables ... Students could buy these products free of charge. The market opened at 7:30 and ended at 10:00 pm in 3 days from May 25 to 31, 2020. Each student received a voucher worth VND 30,000 to buy items. The items offered at the market were selected according to student's needs. Besides, at the market, students were also given tickets to have meals at the canteen for free. It was estimated that about 300 students coming to this market a day.
