More than 300 scientific papers published at the MMMS 2020 International Conference

November 12-14, 2020: The Second International Conference on Material, Machines, and Methods for Sustainable Development (MMMS2020) was held at Nha Trang University with the participation of nearly 170 domestic and international experts.

The event was hosted by the Vietnam Association of Science Editing (VASE) in collaboration with Hanoi University of Science and Technology (HUST), Nha Trang University (NTU), Phenikaa University (PKA), Thai Nguyen University (TNU),  Kyungpook National University (KNU-Korea), Nagaoka University of Technology (NUT-Japan), National Kaohsiung University of Science and Technology (NKUST), VUSTA, SFU, Vietnam Federation of Mechanical Engineering Associations (VFMEA) and Council of Asian Science Editors (CASE). There were about 150 domestic experts and 20 international experts (via online method), especially the participation of eight leading professors related to the conference topics.

At the conference, more than 300 scientific articles were published by domestic and international experts related to topics: Advanced materials, material applications towards sustainability, Materials machining and processing technologies for the reduction of environmental impact, Life cycle engineering, impact assessment and control for machines and processes, Sustainable machine design: mechatronics, CAD/CAM/CAE, maritime engineering, Industrial engineering towards sustainability, Low carbon industry, efficient systems, energy efficiency, and energy saving, Renewable energy, alternative fuels, Medical equipment, biomechanics, and biomedical engineering, isolating virus equipment.

At the opening session of the conference, Prof. Dr. Banh Tien Long, Chairman of the VASE, stated that the concept of "sustainable development" is currently very noticeable with the direction of global goals, human life improvement, and pollution reduction. The MMMS 2020 conference was an occasion for experts and scientists to update information and research on important aspects which contributed to sustainable development, especially materials, machines, and methods. From such understanding, the conference aims at an overall approach to assist policymakers, industries, and researchers at various levels to position the local technological development towards sustainable development in the global context, to assist decision making towards a greener approach especially for material, machines and methods.

This is the second time the MMMS conference was held. The first MMMS conference was held in Da Nang city. The conference proceedings were published by Spinger.
