Training on “Protecting intellectual property rights for creative work – A guide to searching and writing patent descriptions”
On April 23, 2023, Nha Trang University cooperated with Khanh Hoa Department of Science and Technology to organize a training course on intellectual property for lecturers, researchers, and students of universities and research institutes in Khanh Hoa province.
The training session was held with the theme "Protecting intellectual property rights for creative work - Guide to searching and writing patent description" with the participation of more than 60 students, lecturers, and researchers from organizations, units, and schools in Khanh Hoa. Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Hien - Director of the Industrial Property Information Center, National Office of Intellectual Property- presented and shared knowledge at the training session.
At the training session, participants were supplemented with knowledge around 4 topics including protection of intellectual property rights for creative achievements; Registration procedures for patent protection; introduction databases for searching patent information; A practical guide to writing an invention description. With a vivid way of conveying information through specific examples, and integrating practice, the training session helped officials, lecturers, students, and researchers have a more intuitive view of intellectual property. , grasp the basics of how to protect intellectual property rights applied in their learning and working environment. Concerns and questions about the protection of the intellectual property rights of attendees were also answered and consulted by the guest speakers.
This activity is also organized to implement the Khanh Hoa Provincial Intellectual Property Development Program for the period of 2021 - 2025, with an orientation to 2030 according to Decision No. 2049/QD-UBND dated July 19, 2021, of the Provincial People's Committee, with the goal of encouraging and comprehensively supporting lecturers, researchers and students in intellectual property registration activities, research results, academic products, and startup ideas.
