Establish Vietnam Employability and Entrepreneurship Support Network (VEES-Net) for Vietnamese students
On October 29 and 30, 2020, the delegation from Nha Trang University led by Dr. Khong Trung Thang - Chairman of the University Council participated in the signing and launching ceremony of the Vietnam Employability and Entrepreneurship Support Network (VEES-Net) in Hanoi.
At the ceremony, there were representatives of founding members of 8 universities across the country, including: Hanoi University of Science and Technology, Industrial University of Vinh, the University of Da Nang – University of Technology and Education, Nha Trang University, Tay Nguyen University, VNU HCM - University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Thu Dau Mot University, Tra Vinh University. This is an important event that kicks off the comprehensive cooperation between the member universities to actively and effectively support employability and entrepreneurship activities for Vietnamese students.
Overview of the ceremony
VEES-NET is a collaborative network that promotes cooperation between Vietnamese universities on employability and entrepreneurship issues for students. This is the first network in Vietnam established from the close cooperation of eight leading universities in Vietnam under the project “Strengthening the Vietnamese Higher Education System to improve graduates’ employability and entrepreneurship skills”(V2WORK) of the Eramus+ Program funded by the European Commission.
Signing ceremony
VEES-NET was established with the mission of increasing students' and alumni's ability to find jobs and start-up efforts, helping students achieve higher professional achievements. It also promotes the development and affirmation of the career services of higher education institutions as an essential structure in fulfilling the mission of the University to train qualified young people to participate in professional activities that promote economic and social development.
VEES - NET has the vision to be a sustainable network of Vietnamese Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) to support career services with a view to promoting greater employability and developing a spirit and culture of entrepreneurship among HEIs.
