FARM TOGETHER project won first prize in the ECOViP 2024 ECO TOURISM STARTUP contest
On the morning of June 21, 2024, the Final Round of the "ECOViP 2024 Ecotourism Startup" competition took place at Nha Trang University with the participation of 10 teams.
10 ecotourism startup project groups compete in the Final Round of the contest "ECOViP 2024 Ecotourism Startup". The competing teams brought potential projects and new and creative startup ideas in the field of ecotourism. The jury also highly appreciated the presentation and teamwork skills of the competing teams.
The organizers awarded 01 first prize; 02 Second prizes; 03 Third prizes and 04 Favorite Video prizes with each prize value of 3,000,000 VND; 2,000,000 VND; 1,000,000 VND. To increase the spread of the Project, the Most Popular Video Clip Award (Worth 500,000 VND) will be held from June 24 to June 28, 2024 for teams to introduce their projects more widely.
The competition was organized to help students have the opportunity to acquire more knowledge about ecotourism and tourism entrepreneurship. At the same time, this is also an opportunity for students to explore their own potential and orient their future jobs.
The competition is within the framework of the Project Promoting innovation and entrepreneurship in the field of ecotourism to support sustainable development in Vietnam and the Philippines (ECOViP), which has been launched since July 2023. The kick-off meeting was held at Nha Trang University - the project coordinator. The ECOViP project is funded by the Educational, Audiovisual and Cultural Executive Agency (EACEA) of the European Commission; There are 11 partners participating in the project including: Nha Trang University - Project coordination unit; Can Tho University; University of Sciences – Thai Nguyen University; Department of Tourism of Khanh Hoa province; University of San Carlos, Philippines; Polytechnic University of the Philippines; Lyceum University of the Philippines; Bojo Aloguinsan Ecotourism Association, Philippines; University of Portucalense, Portugal; FH Joanneum University, Austria; University of Alicante, Spain. The ECOViP project's main goal is to strengthen entrepreneurship and innovation capacity for sustainable development of the tourism industry in Vietnam and the Philippines. The project aims to promote the development of innovative interdisciplinary student eco-tourism projects through cooperation with the business sector; At the same time, develop a roadmap to improve tourism training programs with the cooperation of the business sector to increase the ability of students to find jobs after graduation.
