Nha Trang University welcomed the delegation from Australian Consulate-General in Ho Chi Minh City to strengthen bilateral cooperation

On May 6th, 2025, Nha Trang University welcomed a delegation from the Consulate-General in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam for a productive working session. The Australian delegation was led by Mr. Brent Stewart, Deputy Australian Consulate-General, accompanied by Ms. Nguyen Thi Bich, Officer of the Economic and Government Section at the Australian Consulate-General. Representing Nha Trang University, Prof. Dr. Pham Quoc Hung, Vice Rector, chaired the meeting, joined by leaders from the Department of International Cooperation, the Institute of Fisheries Science and Technology, and the IUU Project Management Board.

During the session, both sides focused on discussing potential collaborative projects between Nha Trang University and Australian partners, aiming to advance research, training, and sustainable development in related fields. To be more precise, Prof. Dr. Pham Quoc Hung expressed deep appreciation for the ongoing support and partnership extended by the Australian Consulate-General and reaffirmed the university’s commitment to strengthening bilateral cooperation, particularly in projects related to science, technology, and sustainable fisheries management.

Mr. Brent Stewart, Deputy Australian Consulate-General in Ho Chi Minh City, has been working in collaboration with the delegation.

Mr. Brent Stewart, Deputy Australian Consulate-General, commended Nha Trang University’s achievements in education and research. Furthermore, he emphasized the significant potential for collaboration, particularly in sharing expertise and technology to address global challenges in environmental conservation and marine resource exploitation.

Prof. Dr. Pham Quoc Hung, Vice Rector, delivered a keynote address at the working session.

The meeting concluded on a positive and open note, laying a strong foundation for future advancements in the partnership between Nha Trang University and Australian stakeholders.
