On October 7th and 8th, 2024, Nha Trang University welcomed a group of U.S. students participating in the 3rd educational exchange program proposed by World Learning Vietnam (SIT Vietnam). This activity continues the success of two exchange programs held in October 2022 and March 2023.
Representatives from the SIT Vietnam office and ten U.S. students attended the working session. On behalf of Nha Trang University, representatives from the International Cooperation Department, the Faculty of Foreign Languages, the Institute of Biotechnology and Environment, and other related units were present to welcome the delegation.
This program focused on introducing the history and culture of Nha Trang, Khanh Hoa, as well as issues related to coastal development and the fishery industry in Vietnam. Notably, the U.S. students summarized practical projects they had carried out in Vietnam. After that, all participants engaged in lively discussions, creating an open and dynamic exchange atmosphere.
During the session, the representative from SIT Vietnam highly appreciated Nha Trang University's support and cooperation in organizing effective and meaningful student exchange programs. The representative from Nha Trang University emphasized that the institution is always willing to facilitate international cooperation programs, contributing to enhancing understanding and cultural exchange between Vietnamese students and those from other countries, particularly in agriculture, forestry, fisheries, and tourism.
This exchange program not only helped the U.S. students gain a deeper understanding of the culture and history of Nha Trang and Khanh Hoa but also arrayed insights into sustainable development issues in Vietnam's coastal areas.
