Workshops funded by US Embassy

Fulbright alumni team from Nha Trang University and Ohio University, USA is carrying out the project S-VM300-13-GR-183 “Bilateral Economic Growth, Development and Trade: Workshops Promoting Entrepreneurship, Business Incubation, and Technology Transfer in Vietnamese and American Universities and Societies through Academic Collaboration”, supported by the Embassy of the United States in Ha Noi.

Activities of the project are to organize two workshops titled “Entrepreneurship in Transitioning Economies: Vietnam and Ohio, USA” in Ha Noi and Nha Trang city in May 2014.

The workshops will engage Vietnamese academics, university administrators, university students in exploring concepts and processes involved with the commercialization of academic and scientific research through business incubation and technology transfer.  It will also serve as platforms to connect biotechnology-related units in Vietnamese universities and society with Ohio University’s Edison Biotechnology Institute – with a longer-term vision of developing commercially-viable, bi-lateral economic enterprises.
