Nha Trang University welcomed the delegation from the National Taiwan Ocean University (China)
On March 26, 2025, Nha Trang University (NTU) welcomed and worked with a delegation from National Taiwan Ocean University (China) (NTOU). Attending the meeting, on the NTOU side were Prof. Cheng Yu Ku, Vice President of the University, and members of the delegation. On the NTU side, Prof. Dr. Pham Quoc Hung, Vice Rector of the University, and leaders of relevant units participated in the discussion.

The meeting focused on reviewing strategic cooperation plans according to the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed between the two universities. The main contents include: cooperation in staff training (candidate profiles, digital lectures, course teaching); progress of two joint research projects and development of new projects in the form of protocols; coordination in organizing the 2027 International Symposium on Marine Science and Technology and Fisheries (MFST); and a tripartite research cooperation plan between NTU, NTOU and NOAA (National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration of the United States).

Immediately after the main meeting, the NTOU delegation divided into groups to conduct thematic work with NTU units. Group 1 discussed with the Faculty of Information Technology and the Faculty of Electrical and Electronics Engineering on cooperation in the fields of semiconductors, IoT applications in healthcare, green energy technology, automation and smart agriculture. Group 2 worked with the Faculty of Transport Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering and the Institute of Fisheries Science and Technology to seek cooperation opportunities. Group 3 discussed with the Institute of Aquaculture, the Institute of Biotechnology and Environment and the Faculty of Food Technology on related professional fields. In addition, the NTOU delegation also interviewed several scholarship candidates.

Speaking at the meeting, NTOU representative Prof. Cheng Yu Ku, emphasized the importance of the strategic partnership between the two universities and expressed his expectations for future cooperation results. On the NTU side, Prof. Dr. Pham Quoc Hung affirmed the University's commitment to promoting training, research activities and organizing international conferences towards sustainable development in the field of marine science and technology.
