Working with the delegation of Minh Phu Seafood Corporation and Shiok Meat Company (Singapore)

On April 29, 2022, Nha Trang University welcomed and worked with the delegation of Minh Phu Seafood Corporation and Shiok Meat Company (Singapore).

Attending the meeting, there were Dr. Sandhya Sriram – CEO, and co-founder of Shiok Meat Company; Ms. Durgalakshmi Sathiakumar – COO of Shiok Meat Company; Mr. Le Van Quang – Founder & CEO of Minh Phu Seafood Group Joint Stock Company; Mr. Hikaru Hashimoto - Deputy Director of Minh Phu Seafood Corporation and representatives of related units. On the side of Nha Trang University, there was Dr. Quach Hoai Nam - Vice-Rector of the University, representatives of related units, representatives of the Institute of Biotechnology & Environment, Institute of Aquaculture.

At the meeting, representatives of the University and businesses introduced basic information and the operation status of each unit, and on that basis discussed cooperation opportunities between the University and businesses. In particular, special attention is paid to cooperation in scientific research, technology transfer in the fields of aquaculture, development, and application of biotechnology in aquaculture, admission of students, scientists participating in the implementation of research projects, scientific projects at enterprises, etc. The university and enterprises will continue to discuss and negotiate to agree on a cooperation agreement in the near future.

On this occasion, the delegation of Minh Phu Seafood Joint Stock Company and Shiok Meat Company also visited the laboratory and experimental farm of Nha Trang University.
