Nha Trang University welcomed 12 students from Vanuatu and organized an orientation program for international students

On September 15, 2025, Nha Trang University held a ceremony to welcome 12 Vanuatu students of Cohort 67 (2025 - 2029) and organized an orientation program for international students and trainees currently studying and exchanging at the University. The ceremony was attended by Prof.Dr. Pham Quoc Hung, Vice Rector of Nha Trang University; representatives of the Consulate General of Vanuatu in Ho Chi Minh City, along with leaders of administrative departments and academic faculties/institutes; as well as representatives from the University’s Youth Union and Student Association. Notably, the University also warmly welcomed 07 international students and trainees from Canada, Taiwan, the Philippines, and Kenya.

The orientation program took place in Meeting Room No. 2, featuring a diverse range of activities, including an overview introduction of the University, welcome remarks by the University’s leadership and representatives of the Consulate General of Vanuatu, reflections shared by Vanuatu students, the presentation of souvenirs, and a briefing on academic policies and training regulations. In addition, relevant departments introduced the Vietnamese language training plan, student clubs, and associations, while also engaging in open discussions to address questions and concerns raised by Vanuatu students and other international students.

Prior to the ceremony, the University had completed a wide range of preparatory tasks, including admission procedures, class arrangements, issuance of student and library cards, purchase of health insurance, and accommodation arrangements at Dormitory K4. In addition, staff members and volunteers were assigned to support the group of Vanuatu students. The Faculty of Foreign Languages also developed a Vietnamese language training plan to help the students quickly adapt to their new learning environment.

The reception of the Vanuatu student delegation and the organization of the orientation program for international students reflect Nha Trang University’s strong commitment to expanding educational collaboration, enhancing cultural exchange, and affirming its position as a trusted academic destination for international partners. This initiative also represents a significant step toward realizing the cooperation agreement between the Ministry of Education and Training of Vanuatu and Nha Trang University, while paving the way for future exchange programs and collaborative research endeavors.
